Summary
This research translation project involves working directly with two local governments in Victoria to apply the findings of VicLANES in their local areas. Knox and Brimbank City Councils councils have identified key questions relating to health and wellbeing and researchers are providing the results and interpretation of the findings. The project uses an action research model where key individuals within council then become advocates for change within their own council and identify ways in which their council can invest resources to improve the health and well-being of their communities. A research forum will be held for local government in late 2006 to present findings.
